Physical Description and Attributes.[]

The Mummy's physical description is that of a stereotypical, Egyptian-styled mummy; covered head to toe in long white bandages. In the Facility, he is a long dead, but reanimated corpse, with pale, rotting skin and teeth. His head and some of his bandages also appear to be stained with blood. Why the Mummy is kept in the Facility or how he was captured is unknown, but it could be because he has some supernatural abilities or control over magic and the Facility is studying him.

In the Cabin's cellar, its possible an item the Mummy was embalmed with could summon him. Or, the dagger he is seen with in the behind the scenes footage could as well.

Appearances[]

The Mummy is seen only in the behind the scenes footage of the film, when the Dismemberment Goblins are driving their stolen golf cart through a corridor. The Mummy is seen holding a long curved knife or dagger, walking slowly against a wall and stabs a Facility member who runs by him.

Inspiration[]

Mummies are commonly featured as stock monsters in many horror stories. One of the earliest examples of this is The Mummy!: Or a Tale of the Twenty-Second Century, an 1827 novel written by Jane C. Loudon. This early, science-fiction work concerns an Egyptian mummy named Cheops, who is brought back in to life in the 22nd century. Films that rely on this theme are many, including the 1932 movie The Mummy starring Boris Karloff as Imhotep. and Full Moon Entertainment's Petrified. The belief in cursed mummies probably stems in part from the supposed curse on the tomb of Tutankhamun. They are also based off of Mummies from The Mummy's Hand, The Mummy's Tomb, The Mummy's Ghost, The Mummy's Curse, Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy, Goosebumps (original series), Goosebumps Series 2000, Goosebumps HorrorLand, Goosebumps (TV series), Creepy (magazine), The Mummy (1999 film),The Mummy Returns, and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
