Physical Descriptions and Characteristics[]

The Ku Klux Klan are human males that are dressed in traditional attire worn by the real life KKK members. Two of the klan members wear full body white robes, with tall, white 'hats' that cover their face, leaving only two eyeholes to see out of. The third member wears the same attire except that his is all red, suggesting he is the leader of the group, known as the 'Grand Wizard'. One of the members in white holds a rope fashioned into a noose. All of the members have a traditional KKK flag emblem on their robes.

In the Cabin's cellar, its likely a noose like the one being held by one of the members is what summons them.

Appearances[]

The KKK are not focused on or given screen time during the film since this would spark obvious controversy. However, they can be seen briefly in their cube via one of the security monitors.

In addition, the KKK members can be seen up close in behind the scenes footage.

Inspiration[]

The Ku Klux Klan is based on an actual American white-supremacist, white-nationalist terrorist organization that has its origins in the Civil War under Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest. Briefly inactive during the turn of the century due to anti-terrorist bills created under President Ulysses Grant to deter Confederate-sympathetic groups, the group was well known for murders, larceny, arson and violence from the Thirties to the Sixties up to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which they vehemently opposed. They are still active in the United States, predominantly in the Southeast.
