The Tentacle Thing is a scrapped Monster kept inside the Facility. It is only seen in the behind the scenes footage for the film.
Physical Description and Attributes[]
It is a small octopus-like creature. It has four octopus-like tentacles that appear to have small spikes or teeth on them. Its eyes are on the ends of two snail-like eyestalks that are connected to its head. It has some kind of hair on its body.
Appearances[]
The only way we know the Tentacle Thing exists is of it being operated as a puppet in a behind the scenes photo, meaning it was supposed to have some screen time but was scrapped, either due to time or budget.
Inspiration[]
While it is unknown what inspired this creature, it seems to closely or partially resemble many different sci-fi or horror film and tv show monsters. Examples include a Dalek, out of it's more recognizable armor, from Doctor Who, the alien from the 1980 film It Came Without Warning, the Facehugger from the Alien franchise , one of the many iterations of the The Thing (from John Carpenter's 1982 film of the same name), the Killer Eyes from the sequel of the original 1999 film and Kenny, a Thricewise demon from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics.
