The Seaweed Creature is a Monster exclusive to the film's visual companion.

Physical Description and Attributes

The Seaweed Creature appears as a humanoid being that is covered in thick, green seaweed. The skin on its body appears to be a dark greenish or black color and its facial features cannot be seen. The origins or lore surrounding this creature are unknown, but its highly possible it has some association with aquatic/sea life or may be a sea monster of some sort.

It is unknown what item could summon the Seaweed Creature from the Cabin's cellar.

Inspiration

There does not appear to be a direct inspiration for the Seaweed Creature. It could simply be an idea that was never depicted in the film.

However, a possible inspiration could be the Draugr from Norse mythology. Draugr were restless spirits, usually of fishermen, who died at sea or were never properly buried. They appeared as sluggish, rotten corpses that were often covered in seaweed, barnacles and other sealife.
