Giant ferrits

Two Giant Ferrets in their cube cell.

Giant Ferrets are Monsters kept inside the Facility. They were not listed on the whiteboard, nor were they seen during the System Purge.

Physical Description and Attributes[]

The Giant Ferrets appear as a pair of normal ferrets, but of an abnormal size. Their fur is a greyish white color, and they have pink noses. Nothing about the Giant Ferrets is supernatural, meaning they are most likely kept inside the Facility for their massive size, or may be suffering from some sort of virus that makes them aggressive to humans and other animals, such as rabies.

The item that summons them from the Cabin's Cellar is unknown, but some possibilities could be common ferret toys, or tampering with a pet cage.

Appearances[]

The only time the Giant Ferrets are seen is during the scene when the camera pans out to reveal the rest of the Monsters in the Facility. Their cube is positioned directly the Giant Floating Head.

Inspiration[]

Its presumably inspired by the "Killer Animals" a popular trope of countless horror films along with other media.

  • Possibly a reference to the 1959 B movie, The Killer Shrews about an island covered with mutated, bloodthirsty shrews.
  • Possibly a wink to Ghostbusters II, where a fur coat became living under a contact with the slime.

Trivia[]

  • During the scene where Marty and Dana flee from the Dragonbat, a loud, high-pitched squeaking can be heard. Fans speculate that this squeaking is coming from the Giant Ferrets, who may have been released during the System Purge but were only heard.
