Either the Dark Spirit or a Wraith
The Dark Spirit is a Monster kept by the Facility. It was not listed on the whiteboard, nor was it seen during the System Purge.
Physical Description & Attributes[]
The Dark Spirit is a ghost-like apparition that is extremely similar in appearance to the Wraiths. It appears as a vapor or smoke-like apparition that has no defined shape or form. Many fans debate on whether the one seen in the behind the scenes footage was in fact a Wraith or if it was it's own separate Monster entirely.
It is unknown what could summon this Monster, if in fact it is separate from the Wraiths. However, paranormal items, artifacts or even ghost-hunting equipment are possibilities.
Appearances[]
The only time the Dark Spirit is seen is in the behind the scenes footage- where a close up shot of the Monster is shown to be moving in its vapor-like state, around its cube prison.
Inspiration[]
Its possible this Monster was a reference to general spirits, ghosts or another paranormal entity, given the large presence ghosts have across the world of horror.
Given its smoky-like appearance, the Dark Spirit could be a reference to the Dementors from Harry Potter.
